Dept of Physiology

Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental sciences are having a self sufficient Human Physiology department.  We conduct lecture session and practical for 1st BDS students.  The teaching aims at providing comprehensive knowledge of the normal functions of organ system of the body to facilitate an understanding of the physiological basis of health and disease.  We have a well furnished lecture hall with modern facilities where the classes are conducted.  The physiology laboratory is well equipped with seating capacity of 25 at a time.

The functioning of the department is well co ordinated by efficient hands.  We have Dr.Nirmala D Kuchabal  Professor  in physiology as the head of the department and Dr. Joseph Fransis.K, Lecturer in physiology, Dr.Rajeev.S, Lecturer in physiology  ,Miss Dona P varghese,Tutor in physiology as the teaching faculty

Over 50 students have been enrolled in the present batch coming under our department.  They performed well in the first university internal examination conducted in the month of February 2010.
